It is a very tough wood that is not too hard and easy to work with. It does not warp easily, and if you soak it in oil and wipe it well, it will have a beautiful luster, so it is very popular as a furniture material. Young wood has a strong pink color, and when it gets old it will have a distinctive dark brown color.
