The outstanding skills of Aizu craftsmen

The woodwork for aizu361's original products is made by Katsusuke Arai, a third-generation woodworker who runs Marusuke Seisakusho. The vessels are turned with delicate blades while adjusting even the distortion of the wood, resulting in a smooth texture that makes you want to rub your cheek against it. This unique and outstanding technique realizes the ultimate feel and texture of the "guinomi glass."

Furthermore, on top of the smooth wooden base, Aizu lacquerware painter Yushin Sakane, who has inherited a 400-year tradition, carefully applied lacquer. The pride and skill of Aizu lacquer artisans, who have been applying lacquer to Buddhist altar fittings and statues since the Heian period and who have created lustrous, noble, and delicate beauty, are poured into this product.

Please be sure to purchase aizu361 products, which are the epitome of the outstanding skills of Aizu craftsmen.
